Steven Farkas Obituary

Steven Farkas, 58, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at home.
Steven was born April 25, 1965, in Mishawaka, Indiana to Stephen L. Farkas and Janet M. (Bennett) Farkas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother Michael Farkas Bennett.
Steven worked as a laborer at Techniplas Nylon crafts for two years. Steven was a skilled guitarist who leant his talents to several local bands during his life.
Steven is survived by his sisters, Yvonne Bonds, Connie (Larry) Kolodziej, Tammy (Steven) Smith, and Annette Farkas; his brother, Alan Farkas, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and his best friends, Daniel Terhorst, Tim (Fro) Francis and Jimmy Ezra who all loved him dearly.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 5-7 PM, in Hahn funeral home, 505 W.8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11 AM in Hahn Funeral home, with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.

I worked with Steve and picked him up and took him home from work. He is greatly missed. RIP Steve.

my first memory of uncle Farkas was when I was 6. We were hanging out at my uncle Tims (Fro) house and we were sitting in their dining room and i was sitting right next to uncle Farkas. He started playing his guitar and singing me songs. Uncle Farkas was definitely too young to pass. Love ya lots!

My youngest memory of Steven - We are paternal cousins. His mom Janet & my dad Ed were cousins on the Bennett side.
Mom (Sue) and Janet use to hang out & the 5 of us "kids" would hang out with Jane's 7 kids... Only real memory I have of Steven is from the time Janet made all of us tomato soup and added milk to it. He said "not again"...lol...
Learning from Vonnie of his passing was a big shock &:realizing how much time had passed.
From what I've read, he sounds like he was one helluva guitarist.
Steven was way too young & our family sends heartfelt condolences to all of you.
Rock on Steven - Shred that guitar in Heavens Band!!
