Steven Joseph Garino

Steven Joseph Garino, 20, of Huntingtown, MD, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Steven enjoyed playing sports; he was on the First Baptist Church Soccer and Hawthorne Swim Team, Hughesville Hurricanes Football team, Charles County Youth League Baseball All-Stars team. He was on bowling leagues in Charles, Calvert, and Anne Arundel Counties. As he got older, he developed interests in skateboarding, theatre, Jujitsu, and Taekwondo. Steven worked at the Giant Food in Dunkirk, MD. He loved his job, the people he worked with and the customers.
Steven attended Charles County Public Schools for most of his early education, and graduated in 2022 from Old Mill High School in Millersville, MD.
Steven loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Some of his favorite memories were going to Disney, going on a Disney Cruise, and taking family vacations; whether it was to the beach, camping in West Virginia with his uncle's fishing and crabbing, or camping with friends in PA. He spent a lot of time playing video games and making YouTube videos with his brother Michael, who he thought was the funniest person he knew, and considered him his best friend. Steven and Michael looked forward to celebrating Halloween every year. He enjoyed spending time with his mom watching horror movies, Cobra Kai, The Flash, and his favorite, The Office. He enjoyed his ATV and golf cart riding, and hiking through the woods. He loved animals. Steven was kind hearted, gentle, and funny. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Steven is preceded in death by his grandmothers; Jane Duckworth and Virginia Garino, and uncle, John Duckworth.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia Baxter (Richard), of Huntingtown, MD; his father, David Garino (Ilana), of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Michael Garino; step-brothers; Jordan McGuire, and John Baxter; grandfathers; Jack Duckworth, and Marshall Garino; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be Private.
