Steven Ray Houser, 75, of Forney, TX went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024. Steven was born on May 6, 1949, to Arlis and Billie Houser in Bakersfield, CA. He grew up in Fortuna, CA. After high school he played baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers in their minor league system for 2 years. He was a loyal fan of the Dodgers throughout his life. On February 14, 1993, he married Janice Marie Houser and they spent a loving 31 years together. He worked as an outside sales associate throughout his career at several different companies. He enjoyed playing softball, golf, watching movies, traveling and family gatherings. His most precious time was spent with his family. Steven was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother. His parents, Arlis and Billie, brother Eddie Houser, and his first wife Patricia Ericksteen preceded him in death. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice, children: Christopher Houser and wife Julie and Melissa Janice Barker and husband Shay, stepdaughter Michelle Jean Zor and husband Cristian, 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 2 great granddaughters, siblings: Michael Houser and wife Pam and Annette Goodwin and husband Mike; numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
