Leavittsburg – Charles "Chuck" William Houser, 53, of Leavittsburg passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at his home.

Chuck was born on January 28, 1972 in Warren, OH, a son of the late Frank and Beverly (McHenry) Houser.

Chuck was a 1990 graduate of Howland High School, where he made friendships that lasted him throughout his life. He went on to work for Amweld before he enlisted in the United States Navy. Chuck proudly served in the Navy from 1997 until 2001, serving on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, as a Damage Controlman. He earned several decorations including the Armed Forces Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Chuck was honorably discharged for his service.

Upon returning home, Chuck started work for Anderson Material Handling, most recently working as a forklift mechanic.

Outside of work, Charles loved heavy metal music and was a bass guitarist. He enjoyed golf, kayaking, was a gun enthusiast and loved coming home to his German Shepherds, Kikka, Isa and Hans. Most of all, he loved his family and close friends and cherished the moments spent with them. Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chuck will always be remembered by his beloved wife of 24 years, Elaine (Crotty) Houser of Leavittsburg; sons, Michael Lee of Lordstown and Christian Houser (Ian Gillan) of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Allie Lee; brother, Frank Houser of Howland; sisters, Michelle (Robert) Worster of Fairfax,VA and Denise Houser of Knoxville, TN; many loved nieces and nephews and many dear childhood friends.

Per Chucks' wishes, no services will take place. In lieu of flowers and to honor Chucks' deep devotion to his service, material contributions may be made to Veteran's Outreach, https://veteransoutreach.org/donate/, or a local Veteran group.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
