Steven F. Koslowski

Steven F. Koslowski - Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend – Left us suddenly and unexpectedly. Steve was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Gene and Patricia, Brother Richard (Eileen) and Sister Christina (Pete).
Our family moved to Franklin Square in 1978. It was around then that Steve's musical journey began. His love for music manifested into playing guitar, drums as well as bass in the H. Frank Carey H.S. orchestra.
He was in many local bands, but most notably as the lone guitarist for Kronin, that was formed with his close high school friends. They were regulars playing at a club called February's, (later Hammerheads) as well as other gigs in the area. They even published several CD's. After obtaining his degree in recording engineering from Adelphi University, Steve partnered with a local guy to open Cherry Avenue Recording Studios in Queens NY. In 1996 Steve and his partner would relocate the studio to North Carolina, where Steve's next chapter began.
He bought a house in Madison, got married but later divorced. Steve gained employment at Pine Hall Brick where he made many friends and moved up to Supply Chain Manager. He sold the studio, but continued his musical journey by producing sound for local events, as well as playing in bands like One Eyed Jimmy, Ether Bunny, and Black Tooth Grin. He played guitar and bass, but finally settled in as a drummer.
Steve loved his family, his friends and his co-workers. He found joy in his Nieces, Allison (Cameron) and Nicole, Nephews, Thomas (Erin) and Michael (Rachel) and step-daughter Jessica and their families. I think most, if not all of us reading his legacy fall into one of these categories and should know that he cared deeply for one and all. Steve's empathetic nature, quick wit and unabashed sense of humor will be dearly missed.
