Steven Reedy Loomis Berner passed away March 11, 2023 Conway Regional Hospital, at the age of 62. He was born August 13, 1960 in Little Rock, AR to Richard & Grace Marie Reedy Loomis. His parents and adopted father, Leonard Berner, predeceased him.
He was a resident of Conway Human Development Center since August 8, 1969. He had many jobs around the Center over his lifetime including his favorite of delivering the mail. His second favorite job was working in the greenhouse.
Steve loved Star Trek, watching the news, and weather. He didn't like to get dirty and always wanted to be nicely dressed, preferably in a suit and tie.
His favorite eatery was McDonald's with a menu of a hamburger, fries and a Coke.
He is survived by cousins, Susan Frazey and Barbara Vantuyl of Lawrence, KS and William Burk (guardian) of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by friends and fellow guardians Saundra and Danny Williams and family of Fort Smith, AR. He will be greatly missed by his other "Family" at the Conway Human Development Center. With special thanks for all their care and support to Shelbie Huff and Alex Jackson.
He was also predeceased by his cousin, Bob Burk.
Family will gather to lay Steven to rest at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
