Steven Vere Reddell, 70, of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved him most, after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Steven was born on August 13, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas, to John C. Reddell and Janet McKinnon Reddell. He spent his formative years in Arlington, Texas, where he attended Arlington High School and formed lifelong friendships. During his sophomore year, Steven’s family relocated to Midland, Texas, where he graduated from Midland High School.

In his mid-twenties, Steven returned to Arlington and reunited with the love of his life, Tina Niblack. The two married soon after and shared 43 wonderful years together, a partnership rooted in laughter, devotion, and unwavering love.

A devoted husband and father, Steven’s greatest joy was his family. He embraced every moment of life’s adventures, whether on a beach trip, a golf course, behind a boat water skiing, or cheering on his favorite football team. With a gentle and kind spirit, he believed in serendipity, in second chances, and in finding joy in life’s simple pleasures.

Though a man of few words at times, Steven’s wisdom and quiet strength spoke volumes. His impact extended far beyond his home, he was instrumental in mentoring young athletes as head football coach of the Hill Highlanders during his son’s elementary years, teaching through example what it meant to lead with integrity and heart. His love languages, acts of service, gift-giving, and quality time, were evident in every relationship he nurtured.

Steven’s professional career reflected his precision and reliability. He worked for many years as an aircraft weight and balance technician with Planeweighs USA, where he shared a special friendship and mentorship with Terry McCants, who remained a steadfast leader and companion throughout his career.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Niblack Reddell; his daughter, Dr. Leslie Reddell; his son, Kyle Reddell, and wife Emily; and his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy, Noelle, and Jaxon. He is also survived by his brothers, John C. Reddell, Jr. (Karen), David Reddell (Debbie), and Brad Reddell (Michelle); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, father John C. Reddell and mother Janet McKinnon Reddell, and by his beloved in-laws, Orville and Saunda Niblack, all of whom, no doubt, welcomed him into the peacefulness of heaven.

The Reddell family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the James L. West Center for Dementia Care, whose loving care provided comfort and dignity to Steven in his final years.

Steven’s legacy will live on through the love he gave, the kindness he showed, and the quiet wisdom he shared. He taught others how to live by how he loved, and those lessons will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
