Steven L. Scaife, age 56, of Keene, NY passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at home. He was born in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, the son of James and Vietta (Erway) Scaife.
Steven was a carpenter by trade and a licensed taxidermist. Steve had a love for the outdoors, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. Some of his favorite hobbies were making maple syrup, cutting boards, and watching the deer and wildlife around his home.
Steven is survived by his four daughters and stepson, Jessica Scaife, Samantha Scaife, Pamela A. Scaife, Faith Scaife, and Josh Nugent; a brother Theodore Scaife; and a sister Betsy Scaife; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents James "Frank" and Vietta Scaife.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the Jay Baptist Church in Jay, NY on June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
Arrangements were entrusted to Heidrick Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, NY.
