I had the pleasure of meeting Steven through our train commute. Steven was funny, articulate, and interesting and always spoke fondly and often of his wife and family. I will miss our light train conversations ranging from work to concerts to children. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.

I only just found out about Steve´s passing a week ago. I had the good fortune of getting to know Steve in 1995. What a kind-hearted soul he was. Unfortunately, I lost touch with Steve in the end of 2009 but I did hear how happy he was to have met and married you, Lesley, and become a step father. Sending loving condolences to you, your family and the Smith family. Rest in Peace, Steve ...

My first memories (from across the pond) were my parents ferrying Steven (& brother David) to school in Wales in the 60's - but great to regain contact in this century - and such a shame to lose someone held in such great affection so soon.

I had met Steven through a mutual friend of ours while we were playing pool. We became friends, spending time going to movies and concerts. He got me hooked on Jethro Tull, as we went to see them in concert. I loved Steven's passion for animals. Steven was such a great friend of mine and my family admired him. My condolences to his family and his wife, Leslye.
