Steven H. "Steve" DiRocco Sr., 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus in Lowell, MA. Surrounded by his loving family, Steve lost his courageous battle with cancer. Steven was loved by many, especially his cat, Harry the 6th.
Born in Lowell, MA on February 26, 1951, Steven was the beloved son of the late Jeannette and Dominic DiRocco. He was the brother of the late David DiRocco, and the uncle of the late Paul and Robert Foster.
He was a proud Veteran of the United States army. Steven was a beloved and known man throughout the Dracut community. He took pride in his suspended ceiling businesses for many years.
Steven enjoyed the outdoors, his many camping trips throughout the years with his family, he was a huge Boston Red Sox fan just like his father, and adored spending most of his time with his cat, Harry.
He was a devoted and loving son, brother, father, and papa.
Besides his cat, Harry the 6th, he is survived by his four children; Michele Camara and her husband Joseph Camara of Dracut, Lorie DiRocco of Nashua, April DiRocco and her fiancé Robert Silva of Lowell, and Steven DiRocco Jr. of Salem, his siblings; Louise (DiRocco) Foster of Nashua, Dominic DiRocco of Dracut, and Kathy Masson and her husband Paul Masson of Florida. He is also the late Papa of Savanna, Mya, and Joseph Camara of Dracut, Angelina, Mia, and Gavin Medeiros of Nashua, Gabriel and Marcello Silva of Lowell, and Anthony DiRocco of Dunbarton, New Hampshire. Steven also leaves behind his nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lowell General Hospital-Saints Campus for the compassion and care they had provided Steven.
Visiting hours for Steven will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, MA from 2pm - 5pm. Military Honors will take place at 4 o'clock. Interment will be private.
