Stevie Ray

Stevie Ray, age 43, of Ellijay, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Ware, Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Dustin Bryson officiating. Interment will follow in Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Stevie was a devoted and loving son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed working with friends at Tammy's Tiny Tots.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Opal Ray and maternal grandparents, Bud and Delores England. Stevie is survived by his parents, Bonnie and Tommy Ray; siblings, Stacy Edwards (David) and Justin Ray (Torre); nephew, Jaxson Ray; as well as half siblings and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers are Shane Abercrombie, Adam Ledford, Josh Durham, Kenneth Burns, Russell Thomas, Travis Ray, Nathan Gentry, Brent Covington, Jeff McCoy, Josh Holtzclaw and Scottie Fain.
" I am sitting here thinking about a lot of stuff, and I am reminded that God has blessed me with a great family and great friends. I have so much to thank him for. The love he has for me and I have for him is more than words can say. I am so happy that I have been saved, and I know where I am going when I die, which is heaven. In six months, I am going to be an uncle, and I cannot wait. I thank God every day that he gave me another chance at life because I have a lot to live for - my family and my friends. I know I am loved by so many people, and that is why I live life to the fullest and try to live life in a positive way."
