Stuart Nathan Grant, age 36, passed away on March 5, 2025, in Auburn Heights, MI.
Stuart was born on August 26, 1988, in Detroit, MI, to the late Douglas E. Grant and Mary Beth Grant (nee: Kiepke). He is survived by his two brothers, Douglas (Mariya) and Ian (Hannah), his nephew Liam, and his nieces Georgia and Lily, his Aunts Lynn Dybalski(AL),Patty Grant (Luke) Jenny (Perrin), Uncle Robert (Vickie)Grant and cousins Addy Dybalski, Michael Dybalski, Eleanor Wasung, Elizabeth Naud, Healy Grant, Clair Grant and Susan Grant.
Stuart was home-schooled through high school and then completed an apprenticeship at Focus: HOPE. He earned his BA in engineering from Oakland University and worked at Monro and Associates. Stuart had a curious nature and a deep love for his work. As a child, he enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked, which led to his first job as a teenager at Bike Tech.
Outside of work, Stuart filled his time with many interests. He enjoyed cooking, lifting weights, hiking, camping, and traveling. He had recently visited Mexico and Las Vegas. Stuart had a great love for his pets, Max, Pete, and Peggy, and one of his favorite activities was taking Max on long walks. He also played guitar with a group of co-workers and took great joy in his progress.
Stuart's funeral mass will be held on March 12, 2025. He will be in state from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. Paul of Tarsus Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Township, MI, 48038. A lunch will follow the mass, with details to be announced.
Stuart will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
