Sudesh Bala Shah

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our beloved mother, Sudesh Shah, on May 22, 2024. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sudesh was born on May 13, 1950, in Nairobi, Kenya. She married her husband, Mahendra Shah, in 1972, and they immigrated to the United States in 1998. She worked as a teacher for over 50 years, touching the lives of many students and colleagues. She was passionate about education, culture, and spirituality. She was always generous, kind, and compassionate to everyone she met.
Sudesh is survived by her husband, Mahendra; her children, Sanjay, Dipali, Neetu and Ashok; her grandchildren, Sahil, Rhea, Rohan and Megan; her siblings, Ramesh, Anil and Neelam; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Sudesh will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. EST at Palmetto Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located at 2049 Caroline Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC, 29708.
Shortly after the services, we will be hosting a celebration of life at the Ballantyne Country Club, located at 11120 Ballantyne Crossing Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28277, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST. This will be an opportunity to share memories, stories, and photos of Sudesh. Light lunch and refreshments will be served.
