Sue Ellen Colvin

Sue Ellen Colvin was born on May 26, 1952, in Bakersfield Ca to John and Kay Denny. Sue passed away on July 1, 2024, in Bakersfield Ca. Sue is Preceded in death by both of her Parents.
Sue spent her entire life living in the Taft Area. Dedicating many years of service at Stewarts Drug Store, where she began working at the counter and later became a pharmacy technician until that store closed. Sue continued her career at the pharmacy in Kmart until her retirement.
Sue was Married to Tom Weaver and with that marriage she happily gained Daughter Holly. The two were Married for Twenty-Two years and continued to remain the best of friends for the rest of their lives.
In that time Sue also gained the affectionate title of "Gram" First to Dream who came to reside with Sue and Tom and then onto Kayla Sue, Kristen and Reese, these four girls were the absolute light of her life. Sue also had the pleasure of being Gram to Dream's older brothers Chad and Matt and countless friends of all the girls.
In addition to her immediate Family, Sue also had loved ones that she continued to consider her family from previous marriages.
Sue pursued many activities through her life. She loved to go on motorcycle runs, Was a driver for the Oildorado hoosegow through a few celebrations and a special Mrs. Claus next to Tom as Santa for many years. Sue was a member of the Moose Lodge for several years and had an overwhelming love for karaoke. Her favorite song to sing was "Good-bye Earl" and she absolutely loved an ice-cold Smirnoff ICE.
Sue had a deep affection for animals of all kinds, especially her dogs. She had a compassionate heart that was willing to take in just about any cat or dog that needed love despite not always needing another animal for herself. She was equally caring towards people; she had a soft spot in her heart for anyone in need.
Sue is survived by Her Sister Diana Payne, Her Daughter Holly Walker (John Walker) Granddaughters, Dream Weaver-Hummel (Craig Hummel) Kayla Sue Martin (Bryson Martin) Kristen Beck (Austin Beck) Reese Walker. Great Grandchildren, Liam Taylor, Myles Martin, Tommy Beck and Penelope Hummel.
