Sue Carol (Wheeler) McRoberts, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on January 16, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family who loved her so much.
Born on December 15, 1956, in Chanute, Kansas, to Leonard and Flossie (Matlock) Wheeler. Sue was united in marriage to Clifford McRoberts on November 21, 1980, in Neodesha, KS, He survives in the home. Sue graduated from Thayer High School in 1975 and held various positions throughout her life. Most notably, she served as a Bus Aide for School District 101 in Erie, Kansas, where she touched the lives of many children with her caring nature.
Known for her easygoing personality, Sue enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including camping, fishing, and shopping. Above all, she treasured her family, holding them dear to her heart and creating countless cherished memories together.
She is survived by her loving husband, Cliff, along with her children: Linda (Wesley) Babcock of Thayer, KS, Sherrie (David) Driesbach of Neodesha, KS, Roxanne (Anthony) Garcia of Neodesha, KS, and David (Renee) McRoberts of Neodesha, KS. Sue was also blessed with a large family, including her siblings: Sharon Vyhlidal of Thayer, KS, Jean Black of Thayer, KS, Nora Morrison of Chanute, KS, and Judy Lacen of Thayer, KS, along with 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, who will all remember her warmth and devotion.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wickham Family Funeral Home 500 North Forest Ave. Chanute, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to Awol (Animals without Love) Humane Society and can be left with or mailed to the funeral Home.
Services are under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home 500 North Forest Ave. Chanute, KS 66720.
