Over the course of more than 40 years, Sue served as a Vital Records Clerk for the State of Indiana, where she was known for her commitment and reliability. After graduating from Zionsville High School in 1959, she embarked on this meaningful career that would define much of her working life.
Sue was never married, but she embraced her role as a beloved Aunt Susie to her sister's family. Her nurturing spirit and kindness were evident to all who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Lucy A. Ridge of Lebanon, along with her cherished niece Traci (Kevin) Myers of Lebanon, and nephew Chip (Cheri) Ridge of Lebanon. She also leaves behind many cousins who will remember her fondly.
An avid bowler, Sue participated in numerous competitions, playing on the State Board of Health bowling team and winning several awards throughout her years of involvement in the sport. Her compassion extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was known to support the Indianapolis Feral Cat Shelter, reflecting her love and concern for animals.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Glenn Moore and Z. Gertrude (Steele) Moore, as well as her brother-in-law, John W. (Bill) Ridge. She was also predeceased by aunts, uncles, and many cousins, each of whom left a mark on her heart.
A graveside service honoring Sue's life will take place on January 4, 2025, at Salem Cemetery in Zionsville, Indiana, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sue Ann Moore will be remembered as a devoted aunt and a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many during her time on this earth.
