Mrs. Sue Ann Guthrie Tims, age 71, of 10 Cedar Ridge, NW, Adairsville, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at Atrium Health at Floyd Medical Center, Rome. She was born in Fostoria, OH, May 4, 1954, daughter of the late William Albert and Becky Leathers Guthrie. Mrs. Tims was an antique dealer, having owned and operated G. W. Tims Antiques and Reproductions with her late husband and had also worked for Shaw Industries for over 17 years. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Tims was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Tims, two daughters, Debra and Donna Tims, and a sister, Barbara Digby. Survivors include her three sons, Allen Tims (Julie) of Calhoun, Joshua Tims of Adairsville, and Joey Tims; 9 grandchildren, Kathleen, T. J., Victoria, Payton, Ashley, Austin, Annsley, Dakota, and Deven; two brothers, William Guthrie of Adairsville, and Larry Hoker of Florida; and a sister, Donna Jean Sigler, of Ohio; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Mr. Steve Ezell officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Tims, Joshua Tims, Joey Tims, Austin Tims, Josh Ferguson, T. J., and Chuck Haney. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Barton Funeral Home. R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, will be in charge of funeral arrangements for Mrs. Sue Tims.
