Suellen R. Dewers- Marchant

Suellen Dewers-Marchant passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on September 9, 1940, to the late Jerome and Helen (née Schmerr) Ruhl, and was also loved by her stepfather, the late John Schroeder.
Beloved wife of James Hildreth. She was the former wife of Richard Badgley, the late Donald Dewers, and the late Anton Marchant. Loving mother of Ellen (Don) Campbell and God mother to Jerri (Steve) Lah. Cherished grandmother of Erin (Josiah) Wang, Leah (David) Borton, Rachel (En Hong) Pang, Adam (Hayley) Campbell, Seth (Nat) Campbell, Hannah (Michael) Gerber, and Jessie Campbell. Proud great-grandmother of Abigail, Archie, Jacob, Peyton, Caleb, Anna, Adalaide, Layla, and Elliot. She is also survived by many dear cousins.
Suellen was a devoted member of Hoffner Chapter #286 Order of the Eastern Star, as well as Alpha Gamma Chapter at the University of Cincinnati.
She had a deep love for the arts, enjoying operas at the Lyric Opera in Chicago and the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Locally, she treasured performances at Cincinnati's Aronoff Center and Music Hall, especially the Orchestra. She also adored her dogs, often walking them through her neighborhood where she enjoyed visiting with her dear neighbors.
Her warm and welcoming nature made her well-suited for her longtime role as a receptionist at Procter & Gamble. In later years, she also worked at Modern Office Methods and Dugan & Meyers. She cherished reconnecting regularly with her classmates from the Colerain Class of 1958 and was a devoted member of First United Church of Christ. Above all, she loved being with her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Neidhard Young Funeral Home, 7401 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 9:30 AM, followed by burial at Spring Grove Cemetery.
Donations may be made out to the animal rescue foundation of Suellen's choice.
