She was born on February 6, 2001 to Sara and David Riddle in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
During her battle with cancer, she bravely traveled the world, studied, and even worked, as she refused to allow cancer to limit her. Ultimately, the cancer became too aggressive and she lost her fight to the disease. Her family is comforted knowing that she is finally free from pain and discomfort.

Dearest Sara, I can only imagine the void you are feeling. I am sure you did everything possible for your daughter. I hope that gives you some comfort. Hold on to those great memories and move forward, knowing that Summer is no longer in pain or sick. May God grant the strength and courage that you need in this time of healing.
