Susan Esther Bisping

Susan Esther Bisping of Savage, MN went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Sue was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, on July 17, 1956 to Mary and Denny Prothero. She graduated from Wayzata High School and went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota Morris with degrees in Math and French. She briefly taught middle school before working as a benefits consultant at Willis Towers Watson for much of her career. At the U of M-Morris, Sue met and fell in love with the man she would eventually marry. Mark and Sue got married in 1982 and were blessed with 2 wonderful sons, Scott, and Eric. Sue and Mark shared an enjoyment of watching baseball, golf, and other sports. She looked forward to frequent trips to Florida. It meant spending quality time with family and enjoying quiet walks on the beach. Sue enjoyed sewing and embroidering. She especially loved sewing clothes for her granddaughter, Ellie. Her family has been blessed with her many projects. Grandchildren are a gift from the Lord and Ellie was the apple of Sue's eye. Mark, Sue, and Ellie enjoyed stealing away for ice cream often. Doting on Ellie was one of Sue's favorite activities, and she always looked forward to spending time with her. Sue is survived by her loving husband Mark, her son, Scott (Libee) of Tavares, FL, and her granddaughter Ellie. She is also survived by brothers Dennis (Brenda) Prothero of Rochester, MN, Craig (Jelane) Prothero of Champlin, MN, Bradley (Wanda) Prothero of Bismarck, ND and 7 nieces/nephews, many cousins, and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her mother and father (Mary and Dennis Prothero), an infant son (Eric), and one nephew. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Grace Church of Eden Prairie and The American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Abbott Northwestern and St. Francis Hospitals for their loving care. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grace Church in Eden Prairie on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11 am. Visitation is from 10 am -11 am.
