Susan Marie Clubb, 73, of Melbourne, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Ames and under Suncrest Hospice.
Funeral services for Susan will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) namiiowa.org/donate. Susan Marie Davis was born on December 11, 1951 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the second of nine children to John and Lorraine (Davis) Davis. Susan graduated from State Center High School in 1970. On August 7, 1970, Susan was united in marriage to Donald Clubb at the Clemons United Church of Christ. Susan worked twenty-two years at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. She started her career as a nurse's aide and spent the last seventeen years of her career as the sewing room attendant. Susan enjoyed camping, sewing and crafts. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her husband of fifty-four years: Don; children: Philip (Katie) Clubb of Owatonna, Minnesota and Kara (Lonny) Bryant of Melbourne. Grandchildren: Jonathan Clubb, Amanda Clubb, Charlie Clubb, Kyle Bryant and Jake Bryant. Siblings: Duane (Kathy) Davis, Roy (Lorine) Davis, Barbara (Mike) Evertsen, Mary Kennedy, Jamie (Todd) Weuve, Jim (Patti) Davis, Bill (Rayleen) Davis and Margaret (John) Leland. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents: John and Lorraine and mother and father-in-law: Thelma and Dale Clubb.
