Susan Marie (McGuire) Cuendet, 64, of Camdenton, Missouri, peacefully passed away at her home on the morning of April 2, 2025, with her husband, after a battle with stage 4 lung cancer.
Born on November 10, 1960, in Lebanon, Missouri, she was the daughter of Lester "Tucker" McGuire and the late Violet McGuire.
Susie was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving wife, and a truly beautiful soul. She shared 43 years of marriage with the love of her life and husband, Gary Cuendet. She was known for her spirited independence and selfless nature.
For 44 years, Susie dedicated herself to Blair Cedar & Novelty Works, where she served as a supervisor. In her leisure time, she found joy in traveling, embarking on numerous trips with her children, scenic motorcycle rides, and a memorable journey to Europe to visit her son. Weekends were often filled with thrift shopping, meticulous tidying, searching for four-leaf clovers, and solving puzzles. Family gatherings were a source of immense happiness, as she treasured the company of her large and loving family.
At the age of 62, Susie retired and embraced a well-deserved period of relaxation. She spent her days indulging in reading, puzzles, shopping, and heartfelt conversations with her family.
Susie is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Cuendet; her son, Phillip Cuendet and daughter in-law Chandler Cuendet; her granddaughters, Brittany and Allison Stout; her grandsons, Peyton, Arek, and Gage; her father, Tucker McGuire; her brother, Rick Wedelstadt; and her sisters, Ellen Dulle and Leslie Arnold. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son, David Stout; her sister, Mary Sherrer; and her mother, Violet McGuire.
"He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul."
(Psalm 23:2-3)
