Susan Cora Fox

A Catholic Mass for Susan Fox, 71, of Chandler, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chandler with interment following at the Chandler Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Fox went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on July 19, 2024, in Chandler.
Susan Cora (Burkhardt) Fox was born in Culver City, Los Angeles CA the daughter of James Clement Burkhardt and Tora Johanna (Anderson) Burkhardt. Her father Clement Burkhardt died when she was four years old. She received and fostered a devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and His Presence in the Eucharist soon afterwards. Everything in Susan's life was an encounter with the LORD greatly filling in after the loss of her human father. She would say, "I am the LORD's beloved." Susan was very gregarious, intelligent, fastidious, detail orientated, excellent cook and adventurous. She found her lifelong husband Lawrence Gerard Fox, while living in Arlington, WA. She loved family (immediate, cousins, in-laws and outlaws), friends, poetry, finance, news, culinary arts, ocean, swimming, misty weather, travel, and prayer. Her best friend for 40+ years, and maid of honor, was Mrs. Phoebe Joe (Allender) Wise. Susan was an evangelist in the truest sense of the word. Everyone was encouraged to trust in God's mercy and goodness. She was a faithful spouse, mother, friend, and disciple of Jesus and Mary. A deep wound was created with her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Larry Fox of Chandler and her son James Joseph Fox of Colorado.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 5-7:00 p.m., with a Catholic Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
