Susan Gregor March 30, 1948 - September 26, 2024
Susan Gregor, born in Detroit, MI, spent her childhood on Norborne Street in Redford. She graduated from Redford Union High School, where she met and married Robert Bowen from Clawson, MI. Together, they welcomed two sons, Kenneth Bowen and the late Michael Bowen. Following her divorce, Susan and her children moved to Hazel Park, where they lived until 1993.
In pursuit of new adventures, Susan relocated to Hawaii with her dear friend, Linda Levay, before returning to Michigan to settle in a condo in Redford.
Throughout her career, Susan excelled in banking and also enjoyed seasonal retail work during the holidays. She had a passion for swimming and cherished travel getaways with friends. An enthusiastic treasure hunter, she loved exploring garage sales with family and friends.
A devoted member of Our Lady of Loretto Church, Susan formed close bonds with parishioners and clergy alike. She found joy in simple pleasures, often spending evenings watching TV with a bowl of potato chips and a refreshing Pepsi.
Susan's warm spirit and infectious sense of humor brought joy to all who knew her. She is survived by her son Kenneth, granddaughter, three sisters, a brother, as well as numerous nieces, cousins, and extended family. Susan was deeply loved and will be missed by all.

Sue was a wonderful and kind person. She loved to laugh from the time she was a little girl. Our family loved Sue and embraced her throughout her life. My sister, Janice Calligaris Sur, was Sue's best friend. They became friends as little girls when we lived on Norborne. And so we, too, were blessed with seeing Sue fairly often. Many times, when I came back to the Detroit area, my sister Jan, would plan a gathering so I would get to visit with Sue there. She called me when she found out my son was ill. She always thought of others even though she was ill many days of her life. Sue lived an exemplary life of service to patients in the ostomy ward of the hospital as a volunteer, even when she was struggling with her own health. She was close to the Lord, going to Our Lady of Loretto Church. Sue spoke of her love for her sons often even though she was not able to see them often. Sue will be missed by many. She is at peace now and not suffering any longer. Condolences and peace to those who loved and cared for Sue during her life.
