Sue was a wonderful and kind person. She loved to laugh from the time she was a little girl. Our family loved Sue and embraced her throughout her life. My sister, Janice Calligaris Sur, was Sue's best friend. They became friends as little girls when we lived on Norborne. And so we, too, were blessed with seeing Sue fairly often. Many times, when I came back to the Detroit area, my sister Jan, would plan a gathering so I would get to visit with Sue there. She called me when she found out my son was ill. She always thought of others even though she was ill many days of her life. Sue lived an exemplary life of service to patients in the ostomy ward of the hospital as a volunteer, even when she was struggling with her own health. She was close to the Lord, going to Our Lady of Loretto Church. Sue spoke of her love for her sons often even though she was not able to see them often. Sue will be missed by many. She is at peace now and not suffering any longer. Condolences and peace to those who loved and cared for Sue during her life.
