She leaves behind three children, Robert Karr of Lily, KY, Tracy Smith of Lily, KY, Larry Karr & wife Jordan of London, KY; two siblings, Mary Ann Burns & husband Rick of London, KY, John Brown of Corbin, KY; five grandchildren, Robby Karr, Nate Karr, Adam Smith, Devan Sweet, Laryn Karr; one great grandchild, Georgiana Smith; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Larkey; and by her parents, Lewis & Jane Feltner Brown.
Susan dedicated her life to caring for others, both in her profession and in her family. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 20 years, serving her patients with compassion, skill, and a gentle spirit. Her commitment to helping others was evident in everything she did, and she touched countless lives throughout her career.
Susan was a devoted mother and found her greatest joy in her family. She loved her children deeply and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Whether gathered for holidays, sharing stories, or simply enjoying time together, Susan's love for her family was always at the heart of who she was.
She will be remembered for her caring nature, her strength, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she adored, and the memories they will carry with them always.
A private service will be held at a later date. Susan will be laid to rest at Brown Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
