Susan Elizabeth (Simac) Larrabee, 73, of De Pere, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 7, 2025. She was born on February 23, 1952 to Frank and Genevieve (Skinner) Simac in Harvey, Illinois.
Susan graduated from Thornton High School, class of 1970. Susan was very proud of her time on the swim team in high school, and enjoyed working as a lifeguard. After graduating, she attended IBA Cosmetology School where she started her career as a hairdresser. As time went on, she found a successful career in restaurant management.
She was an avid gardener and spent much of her free time quilting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. But we all know her loyal babies are Abby and Bella. After her retirement, Susan enjoyed wintering in Arizona where she found community as the church secretary at Bowie Baptist Church.
Susan is survived by her husband, Steve Sheehan; her children: Stacy (Rick) Watzka, Shelly (Michael) Myers, Joseph (special friend Sarah) Heimerl, John (Erica) Heimerl; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 siblings: Judy Smith, James Simac, Gerald Simac, and Sonya Lullo; Susan is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other loved ones, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Richard Simac and Thomas Simac.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Mindy and all her staff at Sycamore Lodge for all of their compassionate care and support.
Family and friends may gather for Visitation from 4:00 - 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Memorial Service will follow immediately at 6:00 pm.
