Susan Lognion, 76, of Kountze, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She was born on February 10, 1948, in Beaumont, to Dora Carter St. Claire and Ray St. Claire.
She was raised in the north end of Beaumont on Wilshire Drive off East Lucas. It was the best neighborhood with lots of children and plenty of fun. She attended Edwards Elementary, Jame's Bowie Junior High, and French High School. She gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized at North End Baptist Church in Beaumont at the age of 12. As a young woman, she rededicated her life to the Lord and was Baptized on a cold, cold day in the cold waters beneath the McNeely bridge in Kountze. She always said on that day, God froze her sins away.
Survivors include her husband, David Lognion of Kountze; children, Shon Wise and his wife, Tina; Jeffrey Lognion and his wife, Niki; and Chipper Lognion and his wife, Felica; brother, Jerry St. Claire and his wife, Concetta; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Patty and Flo; in-laws, Clifford Lognion and Lelia Mae Lognion; sisters in-law, Essie Mae, Ethel and Jenny; and brothers in-law, K.C., Toot, Johnny, and Jerry.
Mrs. Lognion's graveside service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Old Cemetery Rd, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
