Susan Marie Marshall-Reinhardt, age 77 passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. Susan was born on October 25, 1947, the daughter of Martin and Clarice (New) Reinhardt. Susan was a cherished member of her community, known for her kindness and generosity.
Susan attended Russell High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with love and service. She first married Phillip Goettel, with whom she had two sons, Joseph and Brian. Her family expanded with the birth of her grandchildren, Kelly, Kevin and Shelbi Goettel, and her great-granddaughter, Julie Repass, all of whom she adored deeply.
After her first marriage ended, Susan found love again with Gilbert Marshall. Together, they made a home in Azle, Texas, where they shared many happy years until Gilbert's passing. After some years, Susan moved back to her hometown in Russell, Kansas. Despite the distance, she maintained strong ties with her family in Texas, frequently visiting her granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
Susan was a dedicated volunteer at the local hospital, where her compassion and selflessness touched many lives. She was also known for her love of dining out with family and friends in Russell, creating cherished memories with those she held dear. She was also a very active member at her church.
Surviving family include her brother, Henry Reinhardt, along with her beloved grandchildren, nieces, and great-granddaughter. Susan's legacy of kindness and generosity will be fondly remembered by her many dear friends and family members.
Susan will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her community, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion.
Cremation has been selected by the family and a memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held at a later date. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
