Ballwin, MO – Susan Mutrux, 67, of Ballwin passed on Saturday, March 12, 2022 peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and close friends after battling a serious illness. Sue was born November 13, 1954, in Quincy, Illinois, to Russell and Margaret (Dorsey) Bracy who preceded her in death.
She married Eric Paul Mutrux at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in University City in 1982. He survives. Her son Ben Plegge (Deanna) and grandson Caden Plegge live in Celebration FL. She is survived by a brother, Michael (Linda) Bracy of Cross Hill, South Carolina. Also surviving are nieces Kristen (Putman) Tidwell of Homosassa FL and Ann Putman of Lecanto FL. Sue graduated from Parkway North HS in 1972 and worked as a waitress at various restaurants including Jackie's Place in Ladue. In 1988 Sue went back to school and earned a BA in Social Work from the University of Missouri at St. Louis in 1992. For the rest of her professional life Sue worked as a social worker and substance abuse counselor at Family Resource Center among other places. She retired in 2007. She will be remembered as a kind and loving spouse, parent, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend.
Burial will be private and a celebration of Sue's life will take place at a future time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the American Cancer Society.
