Susan D. Smith 65 of Fleetwood peacefully passed away on Saturday May 25, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of Jason P. Smith they just celebrated 20 beautiful loving years of marriage in February!
Susan was born in Norfolk, Virginia, daughter of the late Joseph Garl and Hattie (Tetterton) Garl.
Class of 76 of Wilson High School
She dedicated her working years to SFS Intect located in Wyomissing, but was happily retried prior years to her passing.
Susan was known for being an avid reader who loved animals, and was deeply in love with her family especially her grandchildren!
Susan is survived by her husband Jason and 3 children Joseph E. Reinhart, Amber M. Garl and Miguel Perez-Villagomez & two daughter in laws Brittany Golden & Kayla Hinkle
She also leaves behind eight beautiful grandchildren who she loved with all of her heart 4 boys Maddox, Mason, Atticus & Azrael & 4 girls Miah, Milianna, Antoinette & Avery
Other survivors are brother Michael J. Garl sister Belnda (Garl) Perez. Brother in law Tom Smith & Sister in Laws Kim Smith & Vicky Garl along with seven nieces and nephews and their families.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on Saturday June 1st from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Susan can be made to either the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.

We loved your Wife, Mother & Nana ... She will always be remembered with love.
She was so proud of her family.
She loved her visits to Maine and loved me waiting on her from morning coffee to preparing food and pampering her! I loved doing it!
It was my "thing" for your loved one and ours. I will miss her I will miss her I will miss her as My Sister in law & friend and Tom & I will miss her in yet another way .....
