Susan K. Stogner, aged 72 went home to be with Jesus peacefully on July 12, 2025. She was surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren, and extended family in her final days.
Born on March 21, 1953, in Milan Indiana, Susan was the daughter of the late Albert E. Wise and Willie Mae Wise (Maney). Susan was preceded in death by her younger brother Thomas Wise and sister-in-law Jane Wise (Jett).
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Clarence H. Stogner and children William Stogner, Edward (Anne) Stogner and Elizabeth (Harrison) Fogle. She is also survived by her older brother John Wise and sister-in-law Barbera Wise. She so adored and loved her grandchildren Isaiah, Ellorie, Amos, Opal, Ezekiel, Obadiah, Andrew, and Iris Stogner. She will be dearly missed by the grand puppy, Peanut, along with many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A graduate of Milan High School, Class of 1971, Susan went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude at Cincinnati Technical college, where she proudly sang the National Anthem for her commencement. She later worked at the College at various roles before choosing to be a full-time mother in 1979.
Susan was active in ministry alongside Clarence, first in the Landmark Bus Ministry in Monfort Heights, and later Faith Bible Church in Symmes Township where they moved in1986, At Faith Bible Church she was active in the choir, as a Sunday school teacher, MOPS helper, and greeter. She has participated in women's Bible studies and in small groups with Clarence.
She was a dedicated room mother at Loveland Elementary and later at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. She was a passionate supporter of local theater, especially CHCA productions.
Having been involved in 4H during her youth in Indiana. Susan passed on that legacy to her children, who earned numerous awards for their projects at the county and state level. Susan was also recognized with the Recruiter Award at the state level in 2003 at the Ohio 4H volunteer Conference. Susan served as an adult volunteer for Warren County for 32 years and was a counselor for Artists Day Camp for 28 years.
A family funeral will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church of Sunman Indiana. The address 8805, N State Road 101 Sunman, IN.47071. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 pm followed by the service at 5 p.m. Burial will take place immediately afterward at St Paul Cemetery. A memorial service for Susan will be held at Faith Bible Church later.
