Susan Urankar

Susan Urankar, age 66, of Mentor and a former resident of Wickliffe passed away January 22, 2024. Susan was born May 5, 1957 in Euclid, OH to the late Matthias and Lucille (nee LoSchiavo) Urankar.
Susan graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1975. She was formerly employed by Sears Logistics, OfficeMax Call Center Mentor, CBS Transportation and eventually retired from Materion Corporation in Mayfield Heights in September 2022.
Susan was a lifetime parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she volunteered time at the annual parish festival and also at The Fest at Borromeo Seminary. She loved cooking, gardening, and travel, but most of all she loved animals rescuing dogs, cats, squirrels and rabbits. Susan had a loving heart giving her time to anyone in need. Susan lived out her dream of owning her own home after living in the family home in Wickliffe for 60 years.
Susan was a loving dog mom to her fur baby, Anisa; dearest sister to Matt Urankar (Bonnie), Lu Ann Zibert (Al) and Frank Urankar (Kris) (both deceased); dear aunt of Matt Urankar IV, Stacy Lewis (Marc), Frank Urankar, Jr. (Melissa), Jason Urankar, Lindsey Franz (Dennis), Jonathan Urankar and many great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at THE ORLANDO-DONSANTE-PREVITE FUNERAL HOME 29550 EUCLID AVE., WICKLIFFE, ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1st FROM 5:00 TO 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens at a later date.
