The world has lost a truly extraordinary soul. A devoted wife, an unparalleled mother, a doting grandmother, and a fearless adventurer, Susan Wright was a force of nature whose love and spirit knew no bounds. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Gary, and their two cherished children, Garren and Presley, along with countless others who were lucky enough to be "adopted" into her heart.
Of all her roles in life, one of her greatest joys was being "Ganny" to Presley's two-year-old son, Gunner. The bond they shared was truly special. Every day for the past two years, they were inseparable-playing, laughing, and making memories that will last a lifetime. She poured her love into every moment with him, showing him the same adventurous, joyful spirit that defined her life.
Susan also deeply cherished her roots and the life she shared with her brother Buddy Wallace and three sisters, Ann Robertson, Ruthie Daniels, and Mel Brown, growing up in Georgia. Their unbreakable bond and undeniable love for each other were truly remarkable. No matter where life took her, Georgia was always in her heart, and the memories of their childhood brought her endless joy.
She lived a life most could only dream of-boldly, fiercely, and without hesitation. She once called the open sea her home, traveling with her family from Alaska to Key West,. She swam alongside whale sharks, battled in marlin tournaments, and even went skydiving with her kids at 60, proving that age was merely a number in her exhilarating journey.
But beyond her daring spirit, her greatest passion was her family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for those she loved. Her heart was boundless, and her warmth made everyone feel at home in her presence. Even in the face of Alzheimer's, she remained the adventurous, loving, and fiercely determined woman we all knew and adored. Though the disease may have taken her from us, it could never diminish the incredible life she lived or the love she gave.
She was an angel on earth-selfless, kind, and full of life-taken far too soon. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the countless memories she gifted us, the lessons she taught us, and the love she so freely gave. Her legacy will live on in the stories we share, the adventures we take, and the love we continue to spread in her honor.
A Visitation is scheduled on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10:00am with the Funeral Service starting at 11:00am at St. James Methodist Church, 16202 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33647.
Sail on, fearless soul. You were one of a kind.

My forever love for Susan began with her mother & father... dear godly people living a life loving Jesus. As life does sometimes, the years separated our fellowship, yet the memories are there & treasured. Susan, I will always remember your joy for life & loving warmth for others. Sweet friend, I´ll see you again
