Susie Earline Freeman Parker, 91 years old, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, SC, from age related problems. Susie was born on July 21, 1934, at her home about 8 miles from Bennettsville, SC, to Willie Boyd and Bertha Jane Haley Freeman.

Susie met her husband, James "Buster" Alexander Parker, in the spring of 1948. They were married on October 7, 1949, in Dillon, SC. They were later sealed in Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity in July 1964. She and Buster were blessed with three children.

Susie was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She could be found daily, reading her scriptures. She also tried to serve and love others as taught in the scriptures.

Susie was a hardworking, trustworthy, and reliable individual. She guarded her temper as it would sometimes flare up. She could be a determined, stubborn woman. Once she made up her mind to do something, no one could convince her otherwise. Her greatest joys in life were her Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, her family, and friends. If you have ever been in her home, you have seen walls filled with pictures of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Parker; son, Jack Parker; parents; all her siblings; 2 grandsons; and 3 great-grandsons.

Susie is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kit Parker; daughter, Deborah (Scott) Meyers; son, Joel (Mindy) Parker; 12 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Jul 30, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, just prior to the service.
