Mrs. Udene Davis Stokes, age 97, passed peacefully, July 25, 2025.

Mrs. Stokes was born in Bishopville, SC, a daughter of the late Dalton Hunter and Emme Brown Davis. She spent her career serving her community in the banking industry. Mrs. Stokes was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville. She was also a member of the Pilot Club, serving once as governor of the South Carolina Chapter.

Mrs. Stokes was predeceased by her husband Charlie William Stokes (Jack), along with her parents and seven siblings.

Survivors include her son, Jackie Stokes (Mary Alice) of Myrtle Beach, grandchildren, Clay Waggoner (Jessica), Bill Waggoner, Hunter Stokes (Alexandra). Great grandchildren, Cole Waggoner, Hannah Grace Waggoner, Sarah Waggoner, Mason Culp, Charlotte Waggoner, Jackson Anderson, Tallon Stokes.

Daughter Judy Stokes Frick (Douglas) of Waxhaw, NC, grandchildren Caroline Frick (Yong Kim) and Elizabeth Ross. Great grandchild Samantha (Sammie) Fenway Ross.

Special nephews, Stewart Mckenzie (Martina), Lewis Mckenzie (Beth), Craig Mckenzie (Andrea), and her niece, Isla Yarnell (Larry).

The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Heritage Home of Florence and her special home caregivers.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville. The burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 11:00am, just prior to the service.
