Mrs. Syble Mildred O’Shields, 89, entered into rest on Monday August 12, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, George O’Shields; parents, Robert Curtis and Dora Bell Wood; sister, Mary Welburn; and great grandson, Chandler Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Danny (Debrah) O’Shields, Tim O’Shields; sister, Jean Trammell; granddaughters, Tabatha Smith, Alexis O’Shields; and great granddaughters, Savanna Smith, Brianna Martin, and Brooklyn Martin.
Syble was born in Warrenville, S.C. and operated Wood Cloth Shop with her late husband George for 30 years. She was a member of Warrenville First Baptist and loved her church family. Her greatest joy in life was traveling around the world. Syble was daring, adventuresome, and full of personality. She always kept a suitcase packed ready to go. She also found joy in ballroom dancing and bicycle riding long distances like Atlanta or Raleigh. More than anything she loved her family.
A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 2 P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow immediately at Warrenville Cemetery.
