Sylvia Fessenden Obituary

Mrs. Sylvia Snyder Fessenden, 82, of Summerville, entered into rest Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Lowcountry Community Hospice in Summerville.

Born April 12, 1943, in Olean, New York, she was a daughter of the late Charles William Snyder and the late Ruth Martin Snyder. She was a certified nursing assistant in Smethport, Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Amaranth, and the White Shrine, which were located in New York before making the Lowcountry of South Carolina her home. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O and will always be remembered as an avid Buffalo Bills fan, as well as her love for playing darts and bowling.

Surviving are: her daughter, Stephanie Cooper (Tim) of Summerville; a brother, Roger Snyder (Carol) of Galivants Ferry; two sisters, Linda Giardini of Round O and Linda McDonald of Florida; two grandchildren, Reece Cooper of Summerville and Matt Cooper (Naiara) who is stationed in Germany; two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Rozanne Fessenden and Max Fessenden; her husband, Robert Earl Fessenden; and a brother, Carl Snyder.

A celebration of her life will be held at 12 noon, Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 12898 Round O Road, Round O.
