Sylvia I. Price, 65, of Berne, Indiana, passed away Saturday morning, May 10, 2025, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on March 12, 1960, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Orville Courtney and the late Gloria (Duff) Courtney.
Sylvia was a loving mother and grandmother who stayed home to care for her grandchildren.
She loved doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Sean Johnson of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Sara (Daniel) Jones of Bluffton, Indiana; son, Brady Price of Berne, Indiana; son, Aaron Price of Berne, Indiana; sister, Debbie (Mac) Brigner of Payne, Ohio; sister, Mary Lloyd of Berne, Indiana; sister, Elaine Courtney of Berne, Indiana; sister, Pam Kleeberg of Kendallville, Indiana; sister, Rhonda Kardoulias of New Orleans, Louisiana; brother, John Courtney of Berne, Indiana; and brother, William “Bill” Lindsey of Berne, Indiana; four grandchildren, Ava Johnson, Tinnley Jones, Evan Jones, and Kai Price; and many aunts uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Courtney; great-niece, Lilliann Lloyd; and great-nephew, Jacoby Guerra.
Private family services will be held, and burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Preferred memorials can be given to the family (Checks payable to Zwick & Jahn Funeral Homes).
