Sylvia C. Richmond On the evening of August 11th, 2024 Sylvia Richmond, 39, of Manitowoc WI passed away from currently unknown causes inside of her home. Born July 12, 1985 in Manitowoc Wisconsin, Sylvia was described to be well behaved and extremely athletic, opting to play in sports and kept herself busy during school. Sylvia was a writer, artist, and someone with a personality that left an impression that would never leave a person after meeting her. Sylvia was considered fiery, typically speaking her mind during most interactions; however, she was empathetic and caring of anyone she considered a friend or family. During her battle against addiction, diabetes, and epilepsy, Sylvia remained compassionate and determined. Fighting every day for the sake of her children and family. Eventually, in 2023 she would manage to remain sober for nearly a year. Balancing being an active part of her daughter's life, doctor appointments, therapy and studying for her GED, Sylvia was a beacon of inspiration and hope. Showing anyone that no matter how bad of an addiction you may have you can still make a choice and better yourself. Sylvia left behind two children, Damon Ducat (20), Daizee Ducat (17), three sisters April Richmond (40), Caryl Richmond (34), Tina Richmond (32), her mother Shelly Laviolette (60), and her step father Gary Laviolette (61). She joins her father Michael Richmond (62) in heaven. There will be a public funeral service at Faith Church, Manitowoc WI 54220 on Thursday, August 22nd at 11am with lunch to follow. Visitation will begin at 9am and go until 11am.
