Taliyah Marie Sutton, 12, of Concord, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 in Sherrills Ford, NC.
Taliyah was born May 5, 2012 in New York to Edward E.Sutton Jr. and Tenee E. Rodriguez.
She was an avid music lover and she also enjoyed painting and drawing. Taliyah could often be found in the corner doodling. She had a love of animals especially her cat "Sal", who would give her kisses. Taliyah aspired to be an influencer with a multitude of videos to her credit. Taliyah attended New Life Church of Jesus Christ and quickly became a fan favorite for church performances. She loved everyone she met especially her two best friends, Gabriel and Brayden who the family affectionately referred to as the three amigos.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm at New Life Church of Jesus Christ, 4060 Zion Church Rd. Concord, NC 28025, officiated by Rev. Lawson Whitson.
Survivors include mother, Tenee E. Rodriguez and dad, Edward E. Sutton, Jr.; grandparents, Marion Pasquet (Todd), Edward Sutton Sr. (Marcellette), Brian Swiney; brothers, Edward Sutton III, Nasir Sutton, Sincere Sutton; sister, Kennedy Sutton; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society, St. Jude’s, and Levine Children's Hospitalhttps://atriumhealth.org/medical-services/childrens-services/levine-childrens-hospital/give-back.
