Tamalun Renay Hoppes

GROVER: Tamalun Linville, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, completed her earthly journey on September 27, 2025, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, at the age of 52. Born on October 28, 1972, in Cleveland County, Tamalun remained a steadfast presence in her community throughout her life.

A woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion to her family, Tamalun's life was marked by selflessness and love. Her son, Joshua Hoppes, held a special place in her heart, and she was always by his side, offering support and guidance. The light of her life was her sweet grandbaby, Sophie, whom she cherished deeply.

Tamalun recently embraced her faith with renewed vigor, having been baptized as a member of Christ is King Church. Her spiritual journey was a source of strength and solace, reflecting her kind and generous spirit.

She shared her home and heart with her two beloved dogs, Jax and Bear, whose companionship brought her great joy. Her friends remember her as a true confidante and a cherished companion, always ready with a listening ear and an open heart.

Preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Ramey and Kenneth Hoppes, Sr., Tamalun's legacy of love continues through her surviving family: her son Joshua and his significant other, Jessica; her adored grandchild Sophie; her brother, Kenneth Hoppes Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will announce services for Tamalun at a later date. In this time of grief, they take comfort in the outpouring of love and support from those who knew her.

May Tamalun Linville be remembered for her kind spirit, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her enduring faith. She will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
