Tamara Lou "Tammy" Brandenstein, a beacon of joy and love, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on July 6, 1962, in
Evansville, IN, Tammy was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Tammy was the beloved daughter of Kenneth Bridges and the late Lou Anna Pauley Schultze. She navigated the complexities of life with grace and resilience, a testament to her strength and the love she had for her family. Although she faced the heartbreaking loss of her son Cody Jo Puckett, and her grandson Joseph Mobley her husband Woody Stone, and her mother, Tammy's unwavering spirit never dimmed. She found solace and joy in the company of her children Shawna Brandenstein, Chasity (Paul) Harnishfeger, Lucas Brandenstein, and Shiloh (Deionte) Brandenstein, who will carry her legacy forward.
Her life was further enriched by her adoring grandchildren Correy (Tanner) Brandenstein, Paige Brandenstein, Destiny (Alex) Palmer, Ivy Brandenstein, Dominick (Keanna) Brandenstein, Kevin Harnisheger, Ethan Mobley, Bryce Tron, La'Tavion Jackson, A'Marii Jackson, Jalaya Lou Jackson, and Taytum Jackson. Tammy was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Axell, Saylor, and Traise, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of two more. Special friend Lisa Clifford. Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and the memories created with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were among her most treasured.
Tammy's sisters, Tonya (Roger) Rutledge and Twila (Frank) Newman, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins, will fondly remember her warmth and the special times they shared. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she nurtured each relationship with love, laughter, and an open heart.
Professionally, Tammy dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her compassion and empathy made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals and their families. Her colleagues and those under her care will remember her as a tireless advocate, a comforting presence, and a true friend.
Tammy's zest for life was evident in her passions. She was an avid Harley rider, feeling most free with the wind in her hair and the open road ahead. Music was another source of joy for Tammy, and she was especially fond of the artist Jelly Roll. Her attendance at his recent concert was a highlight that she spoke of with great enthusiasm. Tammy's ability to light up any room was unmatched; she never knew a stranger and approached every person with an open heart and an eagerness to connect.
Above all, Tammy's world revolved around her family. She poured her love into every gathering, every shared meal, and every moment spent with her loved ones. Her presence was a gift that made each occasion more memorable and each celebration more joyful.
As we bid farewell to Tammy, we do so with gratitude for the time we had with her and the lessons she taught us about love, resilience, and the importance of family. Her legacy will live on in the stories we share, the memories we cherish, and the love that continues to bind us together.
Tammy's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on so many. Visitation for Tammy will be Saturday January 4th from 9am to 11am with service at 11am at Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center and Cemetery.
