Tamara Lynn Foltz (Tammy), born October 19th, 1966, age 57, of Middletown passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, G and friend who will be missed dearly.
Tammy was a 1985 graduate of William Penn High School. Tammy worked at Discover for over 20 years, but she enjoyed her part time employment as a bartender at JB McGinnes and Mid County Lanes. Tammy loved spending time with her grandchildren, bowling and attending designer bag bingo. She was the one that always won bingo. She enjoyed camping and attending the NASCAR races.
Tammy was preceded in death by Clinton and Ellen Carter, Evelyn and Hartley Pierson as well as her mother, Ellen R. Pierson. Tammy is survived by the love of her life of 40 years, Timothy E. Foltz, Her children Renee Augustine (Joe), Ashley Kirkley (Ryan), Timothy Foltz (Jessica), Hunter Foltz (Danielle). Her grandchildren, Chelsea, Joseph, Christopher, Casey, Daniel, James Jr. (JJ), Natalie, Ryley, Ali, Ryker, and Kaylee. Her favorite saying with all the kids was "I love you whole big bunches", something they will carry on forever. She was also survived by her father Thomas H. Pierson, siblings David Pierson (Druella), Deborah Pierson Liles and many nieces and nephews.
Tammy was a true warrior. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in 2014. She experienced many hurdles through her almost 10 year battle with cancer but still had a positive attitude and smile on her face.
On behalf of Tammy and the family, they would like to convey their utmost gratitude for the kind and professional care provided by Dr. Jamal Misleh, MD along with the staff at Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants within the Helen F Graham Cancer Center in Newark, DE.
A private viewing was held for the family. A celebration of life will be held in the summer per her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be donated to Medical Oncology Hematology Consultants within the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center.
