Tammy Marie Merritt (Strong), age 51, of Sabina, passed away November 12, 2024, in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 12, 1972, in Connecticut, the daughter of the late Margaret Briggs. Tammy loved spending time with her dogs and was willing to help anyone with anything. She was all about family, and she loved her family dearly. Tammy's favorite saying was "I reckon!". Her family believes her feelings on her passing would be best reflected in the poem called "Afterglow". - I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one - I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done - I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways - of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days - I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun - of happy memories that I leave - when life is done. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Brian Merritt, to whom she married May 3, 2002; her children, Alyssa Strong of Sabina, Katrina Adams of Wilmington, and J.J. Adams of Sabina; five grandchildren; sisters-in-law Marcy Crable and Christy Bosier of Sabina; in-laws, Pam and Joe Evans of Wilmington; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Briggs. Any services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
