Tammy Marie Moore, aged 66, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on March 10, 1958, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Nathan Burke Moore and Joan Marie Russell, Tammy's zest for life and infectious energy touched everyone she met.
Tammy was a proud graduate of Kathleen High School, class of 1976. Her love for learning led her to further her education, and in 2009, she achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree from Everest University. Her academic accomplishments were a testament to her belief in the power of education and personal growth.
An avid dog lover, Tammy's compassion for animals knew no bounds. Her pets were not just companions but members of her family, and she advocated for animal welfare throughout her life. Tammy's enthusiasm extended beyond her four-legged friends; she was an active member of Polk Pride, where she dedicated her time to supporting and uplifting her community.
Tammy lived for the moment, embracing every opportunity with open arms. Her optimistic outlook and spirited nature were the cornerstones of her existence. She had an unparalleled love for life, which she expressed through her boundless energy and her ability to find joy in the simplest of pleasures.
Family was the cornerstone of Tammy's world. She is survived by her devoted son, Andrew Lewis, and his wife, Nadia Lewis. Tammy's role as a grandmother to Nadine and Andrea Lewis was one of her greatest joys. Her love and guidance will continue to shape their lives in the years to come. She also leaves behind her cherished cousin, Lisa Krick. Tammy was predeceased by her beloved brother, Nathan Timothy Moore, but the memories they shared will forever be held close to the hearts of those who knew them.
Described by those who loved her as optimistic, spirited, and loving, Tammy's legacy is one of warmth, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Her memory will be carried forward in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the lives she touched.
Tammy's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and service. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on our world. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the sunrise promises a new day filled with endless possibilities.
Friends and family will be received from 5:30 to 6:00 pm on February 24th, 2025 at Lanier Funeral & Cremation Services.
A Memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm.
