Taraben was born in 1935 to Bhailalbhai and Kashiben Amin in Virsad, State of Gujarat, India. She graduated from Virsad High School. She was a homemaker and worked as a toy assembly worker. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, reading, Indian movies and music.
Taraben is predeceased by her loving husband Manubhai Patel, father Bhailalbhai, mother Kashiben and sister Sushilaben Patel.
Taraben is survived by her son Ameet and his wife Mousumi, grandkids Rohan and Sarina, brothers Niranjan, Mahendra, and Narendra, sister Jayaben, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9:30am-11:30am Monday with services at 10:30am at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Cremation will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. To send condolences to the family, visit brucecvanarsdalefuneralhome.com.
