Ms. Taramethia Nya McDowell was born on February 10, 1986, to Jimmy and Eunice McDowell in Griffin, Georgia. She received her formal education at Griffin High School in Griffin Spalding County, Georgia, graduating in the Class of 1995.

Taramethia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Towaliga County Line Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Eddie Collier.

In her leisure time she enjoyed babysitting children, she loved caring for children, driving, being the apple of her daddy's eye. Taramathia couldn't do any wrong in her daddy's eyes. The thing she loved the most was spending time with her family and friends.

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Ms. Taramethia Nya McDowell's name was called, and she answered and was free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy McDowell, Jr., and Lebronza McDowell.

Ms. Taramethia Nya McDowell leaves a legacy of memories to her loving and devoted parents, Jimmy and Eunice McDowell; children, Olivia Touchstone, Diamond Touchstone, and Kemond Touchstone; her brothers, Jennrice McDowell, Demetrius McDowell, and Zaneray McDowell. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
