Tarance Brodee Barbee, known affectionately to friends and family as Brodee, passed away suddenly on June 5, 2024, in his hometown of
Odessa, Texas, at the age of 36. He was born on October 3, 1987, to proud parents Terry and Glenda Barbee.
Brodee's life was marked by his fierce love for his family. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Mary Barbee, who was his partner in every adventure and the love of his life. Together they created a blended family of three children: his son Bryan "BB" Barbee, who saw his father as a hero, and his daughters Audree Barbee and Teri Kirby, who will carry forward his legacy of determination and love. Brodee's siblings, Terron Barbee, Gerron McClure, Genifer (Jason) Stacer, and Nikki (Paul) Maldonado, will remember him as a brother who was always there for them, ready with a joke or a helping hand. Brodee's aunt Renee Campbell and grandmother Jackie Campbell. His father Terry and Angela Barbee will always hold him dear to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his mother Glenda Campbell, and his siblings Dewayne Barbee, Donnie Mikeworth, and Renee Barbee, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.
Brodee's passion for life was matched only by his love for speed. Whether racing down the streets or skimming across the water at the lake, he was in his element. He instilled in his son, Bryan, a sense of adventure and the importance of living life to the fullest. Brodee was a man who never shied away from a challenge. His work ethic was unparalleled; once he set his mind to a project, there was no stopping him. Quitting was not a word in Brodee's vocabulary, and this tenacity was an inspiration to all who knew him. An outdoor enthusiast, Brodee found peace and joy in nature. His happiest moments were spent at the lake, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape and the company of his family. His love for the outdoors was a testament to his appreciation for life's simple pleasures and his understanding of the importance of taking time to recharge and connect with the world around him.
Brodee's capacity to love was immense. He loved with all his might, and his presence was a source of strength and comfort. Those who were loved by Brodee knew it without a doubt, and his straightforward nature meant that he was always true to himself and to others. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his loved and cherished ones.
Brodee Barbee's life was a testament to the power of living authentically and loving without reservation. His sudden departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family and friends. Brodee will be loved and missed by all who knew him, but the memories he created will forever be a source of joy and comfort. Rest in peace, Brodee.
