Elpidio Montoya Lujan was known as "El Patriot" to all friends and family. Patriot left this world on July 1, 2025 at the age of 72. Born on March 30th 1953, in Stanton Texas, Elpidio, was a man who left an impression with everyone he came across. He passed away peacefully in Odessa, Texas, surrounded by everyone who loved him.
He fell in love at a very young age. He literally married the girl next-door, HerLinda Vasquez. They were married for 44 years. Their marriage was a true testament to enduring love, marked by laughter, challenges, growth, and unwavering commitment. Through every high and low, they stood by each others side weathering life storms and celebrating its joy.
He lived life like he played his cards-bold, loud, and always ready to double down. Whether he was betting on a hand, yelling at the TV during a Patriots game, or reminding everyone (for the hundredth time) that Tom Brady was the Greatest of All Time, he did it all with unmatched passion. His loyalty to the Pats ran deep-win or lose, he was shouting at refs like they owed him money. He was a gambler, a jokester, a die-hard fan, and the life of every room he walked into. His lucky streak may have run out, but the laughs, memories, and stories he leaves behind will never fold.
Patriot is survived by his beautiful family. Sons Adrian Lujan and wife Gina Lujan, Alex Lujan and wife Tina Lujan
Grand children: Ashley Lujan, Chasity Lujan and husband Christian Luna, Mariah Lujan and husband Cam Limon, Andrew Lujan and wife Sara Cruz, and Adrian Isaiah Lujan.
Great-grand children: Milana Luna, Xavian Lujan, Legand Lujan, Zayvn Limon, Miabella Lujan, Alieena Longoria.
Siblings Mary Cervantez, Elida Vasquez, Armela Lujan, Ector Lujan, Henry Lujan, Victor Lujan.
He was preceded in death by his parent Manuel and Cresencia, brother Manuel Lujan and his beautiful wife Herlinda Lujan.
Visitation for El Patriot will begin 5pm-8pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 2pm, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Acres West Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel and condolences may be sent online to the family at acreswestfuneral.com.
