Ted and I were cousins through marriage. As kids we both went to JCH Day Camp in Brooklyn, and played softball together. He was an excellent athlete and a fierce competitor, even at 11 years old. He played as if he was a pro player. We didn't see each other for many, many years until he and his lovely wife started coming to my musical performances in San Francisco, starting around 2015 or thereabouts. It was always great to see them walk in the club. One time, when they entered unexpectedly, I said, over the microphone, "G-d, if I am going to have a heart attack please let it be now!" He was a very successful man and a great role model. RIP Ted.

I was privileged to have experience Dr Friehling´s love of EP and music!! As a staff member working beside Ted in the EP lab, all the weekend events and the wonderful Holiday parties that he hosted. If you knew Dr Friehling you knew his family! My heart goes out to Gloria, Linda and all the Friehling family!

Great colleague, physician, and friend. Wish we would have met earlier in life. I will greatly miss Ted.

I first met Ted when I joined the Electrophysiology Team at Inova Fairfax Hospital. In 2000. Ted, Al, Marc and Marty led an incredible group of people that I was privileged to join. I spent many many hours scrubbed with or sitting next to Ted doing studies, learning so much from him but also laughing so much because of him. So many of this group of people are reaching out sharing memories of Ted.
